Section 184, The Companies Act, 2009

(1) Without prejudice to paragraph (b) of section 342, ifa company fails to comply with the requirements of section 179 the company and any officer in default shall be guilty of an offence and be liable to a fine of Le500,000for each day during which the default continues. (2) If default is made in holding a statutory meeting within the time stipulated in section 183, the Commission may, on the application of any member of the company call or direct the calling of a statutory meeting and give ancillary or consequential directions as it thinks expedient.
