Section 40, The Public Order Act, 1965

(1) Every Regulation made under section 38 and every Order or Rule made in pursuance of such a regulationshall, without prejudice to the validity of anything lawfully done thereunder, from the date upon which it came into operation unless, before the expiration of that period, it has been approved by resolution passed by the House of Representatives. (2) Any such Regulation, Order Rule may, without prejudice to the validity of anything lawfully done thereunder at any time be amended or revoked by resolutions passed by the House of Representatives.
