Section 58, THE CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACTS, 1965

Any compensation or expenses awarded under section 54 to 57 or paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 60shall not be regarded as a penalty, but shall be recoverable as a judgment debt in the Court by which the order for payment is made: Provided that nothing in this section contained shall in any way affect or limit the powers conferred upon the Court by sections 59 and 60. Return of property found on person arrested, and release of property returned in Courts.
