Preamble, The Bayer Preussag Agreement 1973 (Ratification) Act, 1974

(LS) No. 21 1974 Sierra Leone The Bayer Preussag Agreement 1973 (Ratification) Act, 1974 [Margin: Short title] Being an Act to ratify and confirm an agreement made for and on behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone (hereinafter referred to as the Government) of the one part and the Bayer Preussag Companies (hereinafter referred to as the Companies) of the other part [29th January, 1973.] [Margin: Date of commencement.] WHEREAS an agreement was made on the 29th day of January, 1973 between Sheku Bockari Kawusu-Konte, Esquire Minister of Mines acting for and on behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone of the one part and Bayer Aktiengesellschaft, a Company incorporated and existing under the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany whose registered office is at Leverkusen, Germany and Preussag Aktiengesellschaft a Company incorporated and existing under the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany whose registered office is at Hannover, Germany Leibhizufer 9: both hereinafter referred to as the Companies of the other part: A 140 No. 21 Bayer Preussag Agreement 1973 (Ratification) 1974 AND WHEREAS it is provided in the said Agreement that the said Government of Sierra Leone will introduce legislation for the purpose of ratifying and confirming the said Agreement: AND WHEREAS it is desirable that the aforesaid Agreement should be ratified and confirmed: BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the President and Members of Parliament in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:— [Margin: Commencement.]
