ACT *Supplement to the Sierra Leone Gazette Extraordinary Vol. CXXIX, No. 56* *dated 25th September, 1998* SIGNED this *22nd* day of *September, 1998* ALHAJI AHMAD TEJAN KABBAH, *President.* (LS) No. 3 [Coat of arms] 1998 Sierra Leone **The Electoral Provisions (Amendment) Act, 1998** [Margin: Short title.] **Being an Act to amend the Electoral Provisions Act.** *[25th September, 1998]* [Margin: Date of commencement.] ENACTED by the President and Members of Parliament in this present Parliament assembled. [Margin: Act No. 16 of 1995.] The Electoral Provisions Act, 1995 is amended by the insertion immediately after section 45 of the following new section— [Margin: Amendment of Act No. 16 of 1995.] 2 No. 3 *Electoral Provisions (Amendment) Act* 1998 [Margin: "Unopposed candidates.] 45A. If at the end of the period appointed for the receipt of nominations only one person remains nominated, the Returning Officer shall forthwith declare the person duly elected".
