Section 39, The Environment Protection Agency Act, 2022

(1) A person shall not, while installing, servicing,repairing or operating an equipment or product that contains or depends on controlled substance or controlled product vent, the controlled substance or controlled product into the atmosphere. (2) A person who vents a controlled substance into the atmosphere in contravention of subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of not less than 5,000,000.00 Leones or to imprisonment for a term of not less than 6 months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
