Elections to a local council shall be conducted every 5 years.r'; O) in section 7 repealing and replacing that section with a new section - "7. Subject to this Act, a Councillor shall hold office for 5 years."; (c) in subsection 2 ofsectionl I repealing and replacing that section with a nerv section - " I I . (2) Subject to ftis Act, the temr of offrce ofa Chairperson shall be 5 years and he shall be eligible for re+lection for one further term only.".
