Section 149, The National Communications Authority Act, 2022

(1) The Authority shall establish and publish technicaland performance standards relating to electronic communications equipment appliances and devices in regard to the manufacture, import, sale, shipment and use of such equipment, appliances or devices to be used for connection to an electronic communications network in Sierra Leone. (2) In establishing the standards, the Authority shall (a) where appropriate, seek submissions from other interested parties, in particular those entities likely to be most affected by the publication of such standards; and (b) take due account of any relevant standards prescribed by international organisations of which Sierra Leone is a member. (3) The Authority shall by statutory instrument make rules relating to technical standards for equipment connected to an electronic communications network.
