Section 49, The Local Government Act, 2004

(1) A tied grant shall be paid to local councils towardstheir administrative costs. (2) The allocation of the grant refered to in subsection (1) between local councils shall be based on objective factors reflecting expenditure needs, local revenue capacity and the financial and administrative performance of the councils. (3) The amount of the grant refered to in subsection (1) shall increase each year at least in line with inflation.
