Section 19, The Public Financial Management Act, 2016

The National Public Procurement Authority shall, inaccordance with the Public Procurement Act, 2016, be responsible for– (a) regulating and harmonizing of public procurement processes in the public service; (b) ensuring value for money in public expenditures; and (c) ensuring the participation in public procurement by qualified suppliers, contractors, consultants and other qualified providers of goods works and service.
