Section 14, Health Specialties Act, 2016

(1) The Council shall have, in addition to the Executive- Director, a Secretariat consisting of a Secretary, Finance Officer, Administrative Officer and such other additional technical and administrative staff, as may be required for the efficient performance of the functions of the Council. (2) The staff of the Secretariat shall be appointed by the Council subject to such terms and conditions as the Council shall determine. (3) The Council may delegate to the Executive-Director- (a) the power of appointment of such grade or categories of staff as the Council may require; and (b) the power to enter into an agreement with an independent body or agency for the purpose of carrying out the functions of the Council for and on behalf of the Council.
