Section 34, The Sierra Leone Local Content Agency Act, 2016

(1) Subject to subsection (2) first consideration shall begiven to Sierra Leonean Companies in the mining sectors for the award of mining rights, permits or licences in all projects for which a contract is to be awarded subject to the fulfilment of conditions as may be specified by the Minister responsible for mines and mineral resources. (2) Sierra Leonean companies referred to in subsection (1) shall demonstrate ownership of equipment and capacity to execute the contract.
