Section 2, l. This Act may be cited as the Criminal Procedure Short itle(Amendment) Act, 1964, and shall be deemed to have come into and com-mencement

The Criminal Procedure Act (hereinafter called theprincipal Act) is hcreby amended by the insertion immediately"Offencos by cers abroad and offences after section 8thereof of the following new section-- 8A. (1) Any public officer who commits outsidepublic offi- Sierra Leone, when acting or purporting to act in the course of hiis employment, any act, which committed on aircraft. in Sierra Leone would be an offence shall be guilty of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) cases in Sup Sierra Leone. an offence of the same nature. and subject to the same punishment, as if the act had been commited in M.P. OPM. 4 if (2) Any person who commits on an aircraft operated by or on behalf of a company registered in Sierra Leone, any act which, if committed in Sierta Leone would be an offence shall be guilty of an offence of the same nature, and subject to the same punishment, as if the act had been committed in Sierra Leone. (3) Any person may be proceeded against, tried and punished for an offence under this section in any part of Sierra Leone in which he is apprehended or i in custody as if the offence had been committed in that part of Sierra Leone; and the offence shall, for all purpOses incidental to or consequential on the trial or punishment thereof, be deemed to have been committed in that part of Sierra Leone."
