Date of commence ment. I, This Act may be cited as the D1strict Councils (Amendment) Short title.Act, 1964. (a) by substituting in the second line thereof for the wordssix months " the words one year "; and

Subsection (2) of section 51 of the District Councils Act ishereby amended Amendmentof section 51 of Cap. 79 A 188 No. 26 District Councils (Amendment) M.P. 2/04/2. (b) by the deletion of the full stop at the end thereof and theadditionimmediatelythercaftcer of the words and during any such period as aforesaid the Committee of Management shall be doemned to be performing a public function and to be acting in the public interest,5 Passed in the House of Representatives this 21st day of April, in the vear of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixty-four.
