(1) Where the Chairman ora member oftre National Boarddies, resigns, is removed &orn office or is absent or is by reason of illness rmable to perform the functions ofhis office for 3 consecutive meetings, in the case of- (a) the Chainnan, the members ofthe National Board shall elect one of their number to act as Chairman until suchtime as the Chairman resumes his office or aDother is aPPointed in his stead; and (b) a member, the Chairman shaU arrange, subject to this Ac! to have another Person appointed to the National Board. i\*o.
