Section 1: In this Act unless the context otherwise requires -

''Authority'' means the Sierra Leone Public Transport Authority established under section 4; "Board" means the Board established under section 7; "Chairman" means Chairman of the Board appointed under section 7; ''designated route'' means a transport route operated under a concession by a company or cooperative; ''Director-General'' means the Director-General appointed under section 21; ''Operators licence'' means a licence issued under this Act; "Member" means a member of the Board; "Minister" means the Minister responsible for transport and "Ministry" shall be construed accordingly; ''Operator'' means a provider of public transport services''
