Section 1: In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—

"Council" means the National Council for Technical, Vocational and other Academic Awards established by section 2; "Institute of Education" means the Institute of Education set up on 1st July, 1968 as an arm of the University of Sierra Leone. "member" means member of the Council; "Minister" means the Minister responsible for education.
