Section 14, The Sierra Leone Maritime Administration Act, 2000

(1) The Administration shall have an Executive Director who shall be appointed by the President on the advice of the Minister and subject to the approval of Parliament. (2) The appointment of the Executive Director shall be upon such terms and conditions as the Board may, with the approval of the Minister, determine. (3) No person shall be appointed Executive Director unless he has— (a) formal qualification in any profession or discipline relevant or appropriate to the operations of the Administration; and (b) such proven ability in public administration or management as the Board may determine. 12 No. 11 Sierra Leone Maritime Administration Act 2000 [Margin: Functions of Executive Director.]
