Section 20, The Independent Media Commission Act, 2000. [Margin: Short title.]

(1) A radio or television licence granted under this Act shall be for such period as shall be specified therein and may be renewed. (2) A radio or television licence granted under this Act shall be renewed on application by the person holding the licence, on payment of the prescribed renewal fees, unless there is clear evidence of the breach by him of the conditions under which the licence was originally granted. (3) Where there has been such a breach as is referred to in subsection (2), the procedure for the renewal of a radio or television broadcasting licence granted under this Act shall be the same as that applicable to the grant of the original licence.
