Section 27, The Arms and Ammunition Act, 2012

No person shall willfully obliterate, deface, alter, counterfeitor forge any mark which is used for the identification of any small arm
or light weapon by the manufacturer or dealer or by which any small
arm or light weapon may be identified in accordance with any licence
issued under this Act.
