Section 101, The Criminal Procedure Act, 2024

(1) The Magistrate Court may, at any time during thehearing of a charge, adjourn the hearing for a period not exceeding 3
days if the defendant is not on bail.
(2) An adjournment ordered for any reason shall be made
to a certain time and place appointed and stated at the time of
adjournment in the presence and hearing of the parties.
