Section 198, The Criminal Procedure Act, 2024

(1) The Criminal Procedure Act, 1965 (Act No. 32 of 1965)is hereby repealed. (2) Not withstanding subsection (1), an order, regulation or other instrument made under the repealed Act shall remain in force and be deemed to have been made under the corresponding provisions of this Act until such time as the order, regulation or other instrument is amended, revoked, repealed or replaced by an order, regulation or other instrument made under this Act. (3) A criminal trial in which a plea has been taken at the commencement of this Act shall be inquired into and dealt with in accordance with this Act. (4) A preliminary investigations commenced under the repealed Act shall continue under this Act.
