Section 22, The Criminal Procedure Act, 2024

Where a Magistrate desires that a summons issued by himshall be served at a place outside the local limits of his jurisdiction, he shall send the summons to the Magistrate having jurisdiction in that place, and the Magistrate shall cause the summons to be served and send an affidavit of service to the issuing Court, which affidavit shall be evidence of service and the person effecting service shall not ordinarily be required to attend and give evidence of service.
