Section 49, The Sierra Leone Water Company Act, 2001

(1) The Company shall be liable for making good any loss of or damage to consumers' pipes, fittings, appliances and other apparatus resulting from the misuse of such apparatus by an employee or agent of the Company and shall pay reasonable compensation for such damage or loss. 22 No. 6 The Sierra Leone Water Company Act 2001 (2) Where there is a dispute as to the amount of compensation payable, it shall be determined by a court within the locality where the damage or loss occurred.
