Section 84, The Insurance Act, 2000

Any person who, in any return, report, certificate, balance sheet or other document required by or for the purposes of any of the provisions of this Act knowingly makes a statement which is false in any material particular, commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one million leones or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to both. 48 No. 5 Insurance Act 2000 [Margin: General provisions relating to penalties and offences.]
