Section 1: In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—

"member" means a member of the Council established by section 3; "Minister" means the Minister responsible for education; "National Council For Technical, Vocational and Other Academic Awards" means the council established by section 2 of the National Council For Technical, Vocational and other Academic Awards Act, 2001; "Tertiary Education Commission" means the commission established by section 2 of the Tertiary Education Commission Act, 2001.
