Section 135, The Road Traffic Act, 2007

(1) The Highway Code issued by the Minister and inexistence immediately before the coming into force of this Act is continued in force subject to such revision and changes as the Authority may make from time to time. (2) The Highway Code shall be printed and copies of it shall be made available to the public at such price as the Authority may determine. (3) Failure on the part of a person to observe a provision of the Highway Code constitutes an offence under this Act which may be relied upon by any party to any proceedings as tending to establish or negate any liability which is in question in those proceedings.
