Section 1 of the Anti-Money Laundering and Combatingof Financing of Terrorism Act, 2012 is amended by inserting immediately after the definition "financing of terrorism'' the following new definition - "foreign terrorist fighter'' means an individual who travels to a state other than that individual's state of residence or nationality for the purpose of perpetration, planning, supporting of, preparation, organising, counselling for, participation in a terrorist act or providing or receiving terrorist training, or a terrorism-related activity including in connection with armed conflict".
