Section 4, Civil Aviation Act, 2017 for an effective aviation safety and security

(1) The governing body of the Authority shall be a Boardinwhich shall be vested, subject to this Act, the control and supervision of the Authority. (2) The Board shall consist of a Chairman and the following other members - (a) the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Aviation; 12 13 Application. Continuation Board of (b) the Director-General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; (c) the Solicitor-General; (d) 4 persons with cognate experience in aviation, at least one of whom shall be a woman, appointed by the President subject to the approval of Parliament; and (e) the Director-General. (3) The Chairman and other members referred to in paragraph (d) of subsection (2) of section 4, shall be appointed by the President on the recommendation of the Minister subject to the approval of Parliament, but no person shall be appointed Chairman, if he has any financial interest, whether directly or indirectly, in any business or undertaking in civil aviation.
