(1) A reproduction of banknotes, coins, cheques,securities or payment cards, whether legal tender in Sierra Leone or
abroad and the creation of an object that by design initiate any
banknotes, coins, cheques, securities or payment cards, shall not be
made unless authorised by the Bank in writing.
(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits
an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not less than 100
million Leones or to a term of imprisonment not less than 5 years.
(3) The Bank may authorise the publication of
photographs of banknotes and coins.
