Section 48, The Pharmacy and Drugs Act, 2001

(1) No person shall have in his possession without lawful excuse, proof of which shall be on him, any opium or Indian hemp of any species or description whatsoever or any residue thereof. (2) The Minister may under section 62 make regulations applying the provisions of subsection (1) to such narcotics as may be specified in the regulations.
