Section 3, The Statistics Act, 2002

(1) The governing body of Statistics Sierra Leone shall be a Council to be known as the Statistics Sierra Leone Council. (2) The Council shall have responsibility– (a) to provide strategic guidance to the Statistician-General in all areas of statistics for which Statistics Sierra Leone is responsible, including the quality and improvement of data production in Sierra Leone; and (b) to advise the Minister on matters concerning government statistical policy.
