Section 2, [illegible]e Special Court Agreement, 2002 (Ratification) (Amendment) Act, 2002 [Margin: Short title.]

The Schedule to the Special Court Agreement, 2002 (Ratification) Act, 2002 is amended- (a) in Article 3 by substituting for paragraph 2 thereof, the following:— 'The Government of Sierra Leone, in consultation with the Secretary-General and the Prosecutor, shall appoint a Deputy Prosecutor for a three-year term to assist the Prosecutor in the conduct of the investigations and prosecutions". (b) in Article 12 of the Agreement, by inserting immediately after the words "Judges, the Prosecutor" appearing in paragraphs 1 and 2 thereof, a comma and the words "Deputy Prosecutor"; and (c) in Article 15 of the Statute of the Special Cour[illegible] for Sierra Leone annexed to the Agreement, b[illegible] the deletion of the words "Sierra Leonean[illegible] appearing immediately before the word[illegible] "Deputy Prosecutor" in paragraph 4 thereof.
