(LS) No. 9 [Coat of arms] 1983 Sierra Leone The National Power Authority (Amendment) Act, 1983 [Margin: Short title.] Being an Act to amend the National Power Authority Act, 1982 [2nd April 1982 5th July 1982] [Margin: Date of commencement.] BE IT ENACTED by the President and Members of Parliament in this present Parliament assembled as follows:— [Margin: Commencement.] 1. (1) This Act other than section 3 shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 2nd day of April, 1982. (2) Section 3 of this Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 5th day of July, 1982. 8 No. 9 National Power Authority (Amendment) 1983 [Margin: Section 3 of Act No. 3 of 1982 amended.] 2. Section 3 of the National Power Authority Act, 1982 is hereby amended by the insertion immediately after subsection (2) of section 3 thereof of the following new subsections— [Margin: No. 3 of 1982.] "(3) No action shall be commenced against the Authority unless at least thirty days' written notice of such action has been given to the Authority stating the cause of such action. (4) No execution, attachment or process in the nature thereof, shall be issued against the Authority for the enforcement of any judgement, decision or order against the Authority until after three months from the date of such judgement, decision or order as the case may be". [Margin: Repeal of Acts amending Act No. 5 of 1964.] 3. The following Acts are hereby repealed— [Margin: Act No. 26 of 1972.] (i) Electricity Corporation (Amendment) Act, 1972; [Margin: Act No. 10 of 1974.] (ii) Electricity Corporation (Amendment) Act, 1974; [Margin: Act No. 11 of 1976.] (iii) Electricity Corporation (Amendment) Act, 1976; [Margin: Act No. 14 of 1978.] (iv) Electricity Corporation (Amendment) Act, 1978.
