An Ordinance to Amend the Law with regard to the Admissi- 4 of 1952·
bility of the Evidence of a Husband or Wife in regard to
Marital Intercourse.

1. This Ordinance rna y be cited as the Evidence (Marital Short title.
Intercourse) Ordinance.
2. Notwithstanding any rule oflaw, the evidence of a husband Efv~de~ce d
or wife shall be admissible in any proceedings to prove that ~r w~:e ~~
marital intercourse did or did not take place between them to access.

Provided that a husband or wife shall not be compellable in
any proceedings to give evidence of the matters aforesaid.
