Section 5, The Education Short title

The Minister may from time to time from funds voted forthe purpose by the House of Representatives provide bursaries- (a) to assist in the education, maintenance or transport of children who are undergoing or are proceeding to undergo courses of instruction in any Government secondary school or assisted secondary school ; (b) to assist in the education, maintenance or transport of pupils who are undergoing or are proceeding to undergo a course of training as teachers or other vocational or academic course in an institution approved by him for the purpose ; (c) to assist in the education, maintenance or transport of pupils who are undergoing or are proceeding to undergo courses of instruction at institutions approved by him outside Sierra Leone ; and may withdraw any such bursaries provided always that the grant or withdrawal of any bursaries shall be in accordance with and subject to the conditions prescribed by rules made under section 49.
