Section 2: In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires-

" the Council " means the West African Examinations Council established by section 3 of this Ordinance; " Local Committee " means a Committee established under subsection (1} of section 15 of this Ordinance; " the West African Territories " means the Gambia, the Gold Coast, Nigeria and Sierra Leone collectively.
