Section 53, The Freetown Improvement Short title

If the Director of Public Works does not fix such leveland width within six weeks from the time of the delivery of such notice as aforesaid, unless the fixing of such level and width be delayed by the appeal hereinafter provided, the person giving such notice may proceed to lay out the street at any level and width which will allow of compliance with the other provisions of this Ordinance, as if such level and width had been fixed by the Director of Public Works; and in such case every change of the level and width which the Director of Public Works afterwards deems requisite, and the wor~S consequent thereon, shall be made by the Director of Pubh 0 Works, and the expense thereof, and any damage which any person sustains in consequence of such alterations, shall be defrayed by the Council.
