Section 15, The Motor Vehicles (Third ~~~rt title arty Insurance) Ordinance

Where a certificate of insurance has been issued, underthe provisions of this Ordinance, in favour of the person by whom a policy has been effected or a certificate of security has been issued in favour of a person whose liability is covered by a security and the policy or security, as the case may be, is cancelled by mutual consent or by virtue of any provision in the policy or security, the person to whom such certificate was delivered shall, within seven days from the taking effect of the cancellation of such policy or security, surrender such certificate to the insurer or the giver of the security, or, if such certificate has been lost or destroyed, make a statutory declaration to that effect and any person contravening the provisions of this section. shall be guilty of an offence against this Ordinance.
