Section 45, The Nurses Rules

The preliminary standard of general education for Standa:rd ofpersons applying to have their names entered on the Index of educatiOn. pupil nurses shall be as follows- (a) for the qualifying examination for a Qualified Registered Nurse the candidate must be able to produce to the satisfaction of the Board that he has passed the Civil Service Examination at Grade B level, or Higher Grade Domestic Science examination, or has passed the Board's examination. (b) for the examination for enrolment on the Auxiliary Roll the candidate must be able to produce to the satisfaction of the Board that he is literate in English: Provided that the Board may institute at any time a test examination for candidates who wish to have their names entered in the Index of pupil nurses.
