Section 4 (2), The West Mrican Institute for Trypanosomiasis Research (Sierra Leone Status) Ordinance

(I) The Director of the Institute (hereinafter referred toas the Director) shall be such person as the Secretary of State
may appoint, and he shall hold office during the pleasure of the
Secretary of State.
(2) When the Director is through absence, illness, or other
good cause unable to discharge the duties of his office, the
Secretary of State may appoint a person temporarily to dis- ·
charge such duties.
