Section 28, The Post Office Savings Bank (Rate of Interest) Order

(b) The Postmaster General may in his discretion require proof to his satisfaction of the identity of the applicant or applicants and of his or their authority to withdraw the deposits of the society, club or body. (c) The warrant issued on such application shall be made out in the name or names of the persons entitled for the time being to withillaw the deposits of the society, club or body and the receipt of the person or persons so entitled shall be a good discharge to the Postmaster General for the sum stated in the warrant.
