Section 49, The Post Office Savings Bank (Rate of Interest) Order

Subject to the provisions of the last preceding rule, sumstransferred to the Savings Bank from a Government Savings Bank in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, in the Republic of Ireland, in Nigeria, Ghana, the Gambia, Jamaica, British Guiana or Antigua or from a Savings Bank in such other countries with which arrangements have been entered into by the Postmaster General, shall for all purposes be treated as deposits made in the Savings Bank.
