Section 6, The Post Office Savings Bank (Rate of Interest) Order

A depositor may, if he so desires, make a declaration tothe effect that interest on any money deposited by him shall
not be credited to his savings bank account but that such
interest shall be surrendered to the Imperial Exchequer; and
the Postmaster General shall give due effect to such declaration.
