Section 4 (2), The West Mrican Cocoa Research Institute (Sierra Leone Status) Ordinance

(1) The Director of the Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Director) shall be such person as the Secretary of State may, after consultation with the Governor and the officers administering the Governments of Nigeria and Sierra Leone, appoint, and he shall hold office during the pleasure of the Secretary of State. (2) When the Director is through absence, illness or other good cause unable to discharge the duties of his office, the Secretary of State may appoint a person temporarily to discharge such duties.
