Section 79, Cap 196

Any person who represents that he has obtained the grantof an exclusive prospecting licence or mining right or mining lease, and thereby induces or attempts to induce any person to invest capital in any company or syndicate connected therewith, before he has obtained the grant of such exclusive prospecting licence, mining right or lease, shall be liable to forfeit any claim to the grant of such exclusive prospecting licence or mining right or lease, and if he be already the holder of a prospecting right or an exclusive prospecting licence or mining right or lease, shall be liable to have his licence or mining right or lease revoked: Penalty where false information is given by applicants. Fraudulent deposit of metal and fraudulent sampling, etc. Fraud by applicant for exclusive licence, or mining right or lease. Accidents to be reported. Holding of inquiry. Power to award compensation. 4 of 1949. Cap. 219. Provided that nothing in this section shall relieve any person from liability to civil action or a criminal prosecution in respect of the said representation.
