Section 41, The Machinery (Safe Working Citation

The hydraulic testing pressure applied to any boiler shallnot exceed one and a-half times the working pressure plus fifty pounds per square inch: provided that boilers working at a pressure not exceeding l 00 pounds per square inch, shall be tested with double the authorised working gauge pressure. The test shall be considered good in which the boiler has borne · the test pressure to the satisfaction of the Inspector.
