Section 71, Cap. 287

The instrument appointing a proxy, together with the power ofattorney (if any) under which it is signed or a notarially certified copy thereof, or a cable appointing a proxy pursuant to the last preceding Article shall be respectively deposited or received at the office at least forty-eight hours before the time appointed for holding the meeting, adjourned meeting or the taking of a poll at which the person named in such instrument proposes to vote otherwise the person so named shall not be entitled to vote in respect thereof.
