Section 25, The Escheat Ordinance

One-fourth part of the assessed value or proceeds ofsaleof escheated lands shall be reserved to meet and reimburse the
costs, charges, and expenses attendant upon proceedings taken
in the Supreme Court for the purpose of obtaining declarations
of title vesting escheated lands in the Crown.
