Section 2, The Prevention and Control of Hiv and Aids Act, 2007

(1) The Government shall endeavour to promote publicawareness about the causes, modes of transmission, transmission, consequences, means of prevention and control of HIV and AIDS through a comprehensive nationwide educational and information campaign through its various Ministries, Departments and Agencies. (2) The educational and information campaign shall employ scientifically proven methods, focus on the family as the basic social unit and shall be carried out – 4 5 Act No. 1 of 2004.
